G20 Toronto – I’m Surrounded by Riot Police – Queen Spadina – June 27, 2010
June 27, 2010 – I was on my way home right at Queen and Spadina when I spotted a crowd at the intersection. It felt like a regular street festival. Then I saw the riot police and just wanted to document what was happening in my own neighborhood. I didn’t realized I was being boxed. What I discovered day after is that the people you see in video watching us get boxed in were secretly being boxed in by a 2nd set of riot police. These were the innocent bystanders and media forcibly detain in the rain for many hours that’s been in the news.
